- Banyan Tree Phuket has once again clinched the
crown of "Asia's Best Resort Hotel"
for the third consecutive year in the annual Asiamoney
Business Travel Poll. The flagship spa resort
of Banyan Tree Hotels and Resorts also retained
its title of "Asia's Best Health Spa"
for the second time since the category was introduced
last year.
Conducted by Asiamoney, the leading financial
magazine in Asia, the tenth business travel poll
reveals the best hotels and carriers in the Asia
Pacific region. The results from the poll were
tabulated from readers' surveys carried out in
Asia, Australia, Europe and the United States.
For the best resort hotel in Asia, readers favoured
Banyan Tree Phuket over Four Seasons Bali. They
also voted Banyan Tree Spa Phuket as the best
health spa in the region over Chiva-Som and Oriental
Bangkok.
The addition of the two new awards brings the
total number of international awards and accolades
won by Banyan Tree to 40 - acknowledging the group
as one of the finest hotel resort chains in the
world. Some of the recent awards and accolades
include Asia's Top 20 Brands 2001 by Asia Inc,
Grand Environment Award 2002 and Best International
Marketing 2002 by Pacific Asia Travel Association,
